Good For The Goose?

Here's what the BAJA has to say about the latest hacking of confidential government cables and e-mails:-

"President Obama supports responsible, accountable, and open government at home and around the world, but this reckless and dangerous action runs counter to that goal," he continued. "By releasing stolen and classified documents, WikiLeaks has put at risk not only the cause of human rights but also the lives and work of these individuals. We condemn in the strongest terms the unauthorized disclosure of classified documents and sensitive national security information."

Funny that.

Adolf struggles to recall any such pious outrage just a few short years ago when the New York Times was doing exactly the same thing, only ten times worse, disclosing classified electronic intelligence information and thereby (a) compromising the ability of the US and its allies to get the jump on Al Qaeda and (b) arguably directly contributing to the death and maiming of countless allied troops in Iraq.

It seems what was good for the gander is not good enough for this goose.

I thought Obama was a lame duck.
Is he now a lame goose?

No, in case you hadn't noticed, that was a black goose.

Notice all the leaks are only coming from the western forces? Where are the leaks from Red China, Russia etc? Julian Assan is a traitor and needs to be taken out.

Notice how the leaks show that in fact the US and Israel both urg caution daling with Iran but in fact Saudi Arabia and other arab states are howling for the Yanks to go in and Nuke Tehran.

How embarrassing for the lying liberal MSM who have manufactured and propagandized the exact opposite?

You guys are always big on calls for people to be murdered, aren't you? Perhaps you should man up and take the task upon yourself, if you're so keen to see it happen.

As to why Wikileaks isn't publishing leaks from Russia and China, have you applied Occam's razor to the question? Comes in handy for many issues.

The Arab govts would love to see the West take out their traditional enemy (ie, the Persians - Israel is a very recent enemy). That way, they'd not only get their enemy destroyed, they could blame the murder of all those fellow Muslims squarely on the West. Oddly enough, the Western govts aren't mugs and won't rise to the bait. You can bet the Saudis aren't chuffed about having this come out though - if Israel does now go ahead and crisp a whole lot of Iranian Muslims, the Saudi govt's protests will ring kind of hollow.

I recall during the Vietnam War the communist north didn't need spies; they just read American newspapers. The idea of secrecy seemed to have escaped Americans way back then ~ plus change etc.

If the Saudis want Iran taken out they should be able to do it themselves. They've brought enough US weaponry for the job. So tell those devious fat bastards of the house of Saud that if they want their oilfield competitors removed from the market and the price to go over the moon all they have to do is get rolling.

But don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.
