No Excuses Left

Australia has axed its Emissions Trading Scheme.

Well, actually it has been shelved for three years which is as good as an axing.

So Mr Key, your time has arrived.

REPEAL THE BLOODY ETS before it terminates your tenure.

He won't, because like Clark, Key wants to be seen as a 'world leader', but it's not at his cost. Shocking. Maybe Key will be a one-term PM, after all. Poetic justice is real and would be most fitting. Or will Key come to his senses? Well, he didn't ofer the smacking referndum, and nor will he here, it seems. History will not be kind.

And I thought KEY said repeatedly," We will align our ETS closely with Australia so as not to be at a trading disavantage."

Yes, Key had better wake up soon. I have always voted National, and so has every other person I know. But a lot of those people have had a gutsfull of being repeatedly raped by successive governments in this country. At this point I have no idea who to vote for in the next election, quite frankly there is no one worthy of my vote in that stinking cesspit known as the beehive.

I don't know either who will receive my vote, but I am certain will not be National if they go ahead with the ETS.

Why, why, why?

This is just the excuse he needed. Excelent news.
Now then.
Where does this "just like clark", "wants to be a world leader" bullshit come from? Accuse Key of many things but you can bet he will not spray our money around in generous dollops to weasel a way into a UN job.

This is about Key not having enough spine to tell Grosser to take a hike. As a "trader" he has a weak spot and anytime "gripper" Grosser tells him "trade talks require..." he falls over himself to give in. I will not vote for any party that supports carbon trading as a means of developing a more sustainable future.

If Key dosent suspend it NOW he will lose my vote. I have yet to talk to anyone who thinks this a good idea. In fact it is one of those emotive ones like light bulbs and shower heads. The media will slaughter him when power bills go up and quote him verbatim. He will look like the fool he has become.

The imposition of the ETS simply doesn't make sense at any level. I believe Key to be a sound and rational person...alas not!

Couldn't agree more Adolf. i simply can't fathom Key's thinking on this. It's time to pull the plug - right now!

The ETS is going to be used to hand over more money to iwi.

I can see things getting really tough in this country really, really soon, and this ETS is going to help accelerate the situation that's coming. For eg I drive a small car so $2.10 + petrol prices won't affect my driving too much, but they will affect what I eat.

Well, there are two people in this household that will be voting ACT next election. Every issue I consider important I seem to agree with them on...anti smacking, catching Australia, the UN Declaration affirmation and now the ETS. It's a no-brainer really.
