Sanity Prevails in Taranaki

'Not guilty' is the verdict in the case against the bloke who allegedly shot at a boy racer's car with a .22 rifle.

Bit what about the evidence given by the little prick who had been terrorizing these people's livestock for a whole year? He told the court his car had been fired on and he produced the bullet holes and the remains of the bullets to prove it. (Conveniently omitted from this NZPA piece.)

Trouble is, the bullets didn't come from the accused's air rifle. Clearly, they were fired into the car by the little prick, after the event, to sex up the evidence. Pity he didn't check to find out if the accused owned a .22 rifle.

Questions:

How could the cops be so dumb as to not properly investigate?

When will the little prick be charged, convicted and jailed for perjury?

I was thinking the same thing myself, that if the the two 22 rounds did not come from the accused then the kid must have shot the car himself.Even more bizzare was that the kid did not report this to police until 3 months later, only after he was stopped by the cops....this kids lying he shot his own car and should be charged

Where was it stated that the accused doesn't own or have access to a .22?

I think this story's relevant to Barnsley Bill's earlier post re loss of respect for the Police. This kind of thing loses them respect like no other, I reckon - they cheerfully ignore the munter tormenting these people for months on end, yet when the victims do something about it themselves the cops are on their doorstep promptly to lay charges.

When you look at this case, the munter admits to the very things the Milnes were accusing him of and adds drink driving to the list. There's nothing to say who put the bullet holes in his car. And yet somehow Milne's the only one charged with anything, in an egregious waste of the court's time.

Lack of respect for the Police? Yeah, an increasing lack of respect, actually.

Quite so, Milt.

The defense alleged the little prick put the shots into the rear of his car. It would appear the jury believed the defense.

Has `Crusher' been given the car to deal with?

Adolf, making what was a good intelligent blog capable of open debate into the right wing replica of no-right turn and all because he's a little bit thicker and less educated than his co-bloggers.

Anon - I suggest if you want to criticise blog hosts you show them courtesy by either using your name or getting a pseudonym like the rest of us.

He's smart enough to get a pseudonym, anonymous which puts him well ahead of you.

Open up the comments if you a bit to thick to defend yourself and milt Adolf, who knows you might find a bit of help from unexpected sources.

I'm always amused by trolls who conflate punishment for bad manners with censorship.

Just another reason for national standards in schools.
