Uh, duh-uh

Another example of what's wrong with mainstreaming the slow kids:

Finance Minister Bill English said the report ... "reads like an ACT party manifesto".

Er, Bill - it is an ACT Party manifesto. Didn't you notice that when ACT got you to write the cheque to create the taskforce? Should you be writing cheques if you're this unobservant?

It's much easier to borrow $250mil a week in order to keep this poorly caulked ship afloat.

New Zealand deserves everything it has got coming to it if Bill English ignores the 2025 Taskforce report.

Poverty mainly.

Who cares whose manifesto it is if it works long term?

Get the big picture Milt. This country is in deep doo doo. What we are doing now is compounding it.

The likes of English and Key are too spineless to take decisive action.

You can't pick up a turd by the clean end, a shovel is what is required now.

Yes, yes, let's keep with the Labour party manifesto. Just because it didn't work in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 20004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 doesn't mean continued application wont bring it around.

Why, we are only losing 250 million a week, and NZ has a capacity to burn 500 million a week. That's why we rushed through the ETS.

It still leaves debt to allocate for Copenhagen. Aren't we clever.

Note the word "if" in there, George. It's the most important part of your sentence, just as it would be if we'd asked Sue Bradford to come up with a plan.

Zen: false dichotomy. The fact that English and Key are wrong doesn't make Brash right.

Perhaps not--but it makes his proposed solutions worth listening to and giving some serious consideration.

What do the Nats and Labour offer as solutions? More of the same failed policies certainly won't cut it.

No.....reality and economic laws do that.
