Here's a clue to what makes us warm

Even 0.1% change in the Sun's output can effect us.
Which is what has been happening for several billion years.
We should be happy that the sun is so constant.

Of course it's the sun. That's why the Moon (the same distance as earth from the celestial body) enjoys a similar climate to the south of France.

Duh...

Too much Freisian full cream milk addles the brain and causes the knuckles to drag on the ground..

Of course, Naki's residential cave three kilometres from Wangamomona has the same climate exactly as Gisborne or Perth. Same distance from the sun, see? It's easy, once you understand the simple principles.

Cripes Adolf, are you pretending the climate is more sophisticated than the 'sun=hot' model that the original poster posited?

Why isn't New Plymouth as hot as Perth?

Actually, ever since CO2 was declared a pollutant, the moon has been cutting back. Zero CO2, and all is sweet. If only we could get rid of all our CO2 with the same efficiency as those moon guys.

Yes, those moon guys are something else, are they not? Fifty thousand arse holes, all pointing away from Mecca, four times each day.
