Whaleoil - Call Your Pastor

and get him to explain to you the hidden meaning in the following verse.

Proverbs 14

1 The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

When Adolf was active in the Liberal Party of Australia we had a term for people who engaged in public criticism of party officials and MPs. They were called white-anters because their petty little personality squabbles (known elsewhere as ventetta) in which these disloyal pricks indulged achieved two things. First they gave aid and comfort to the enemy and second they gnawed away at the morale of our own party.

So Whale, give it away, friend.

It is one thing to publicly criticise and shred one's own party's policies but entirely another to publicly attack senior party office holders. Your long running and continuing public campaign to denigrate Bill English has to stop. Right now. There are plenty of people on the other side with far more brains and ability who can do that job without your help.

It's time for you to grow up and put Michelle Boag and the 1990s behind you. If John Key can work with Bill English then the least HE can expect from Party members is for them to show him some respect by refraining from attacking HIS chosen deputy. The very last thing National needs right now is some idiot running around fomenting the perception of a rift where none exists. Your behaviour is nothing short of disloyalty and is really sooooooo last century.

The only thing which surprises me is that The Standard and Red Alert haven't picked up on it.

So, to use your own language mate, I'm calling on YOU to put your Party's interests before your own and either shut the fuck up or fuck off.

Spoken like a true National socialist. Free speech? To hell with it!

That tax-loving socialist moron deserves all the slings and arrows coming his way. I'd say he was a disgrace to the National party, but the National party's a disgrace to its own principles.

Collectivist arses, the lot of them. What's really sad is that they ought to know better.

Sus said...

Clarification: the 'tax-loving socialist moron' being, of course, Bill English.

Not Whale. ;)

Adolf

That Bill English is even mentioning the possibility of new taxes should have him hung at a stake.

If he wants to lose National the next election he can continue down the "tax and spend" path as a solution to fiscal woes.

I would be hoping true National Party supporters who want to see the Party actually win the next election would be doing their darndest to reign English's silly ideas in.

Bill English was going to target government expenditure wasn't he? So what happened to that?

And just what the hell does any of those comments have to do with the issue in question?

Should Lou Taylor do the same thing:

I'm not a member of the National Party, Mike.
I admittedly had high hopes of a change in direction under Key but sadly it appears that it is not going to be the case.

When the welfare state finally collapses some time in the future, history will not be kind on this government. They are missing the big opportunity to actually use the recession as a means to change direction.

Adolf Fiinkensein said...

Was Lou Taylor at the Gnats' conference voting for the Party's board members?

Has Lou Taylor been on National TV telling the nation how the National Party cuts the throats of it's miscreants before throwing them out the back door?

Is Lou Taylor even a National Party member?

Did Lou Taylor, without a shred of evidence, actively promote the story that Bill English passed the Brash e-mails to Nicky Hager?

Sus said...

"I admittedly had high hopes of a change in direction under Key .."

Whatever gave you that idea, Lou?

Seriously?

ps: word verif: munted

That's NZ alright.

I actually thought anything would be better than Labour but that just proves what an idiot I am.

Adolf, you prat, I am more loyal to National by making my calls for mr 20.9% to get out of the way.

He is wasting the best time to make truly useful changes to the government books by prevaricating and vacillating just like he did when he almost tanked the party totally.

It is him that is dis-loyal and it is him that needs to look at the party rules, conventions and aims to see if he shouldn't really be on the other side.

You used to moan ad nauseum about the blind loyalty of Labourite to Helen Clark, as did I.

The difference between you and I is that you think i should now display blind loyalty to a plonker just because he is on our team. That is the sort of claptrap that has the All Blacks staring down the barrel of yet another defeat and why they continue to be chokers instead of winners.

Losers should be choked off and given zero oxygen and Bill English is one of those. let me assure you that were it not for the vigilance of me then Bill and his cronies would have controlled the Board of the party as they are still fighting the battles of the nineties and 2002.

I have not forgotten and will always speak when others are afraid to.

I wish you could find your back bone also.

LOU, don't panic, you were right - anything is better than the last Labour government - and if this one still isn't satisfying, then that just proves how bad the previous lot really were.

As for English, yeah, a problem there. I met him years ago and was not impressed, he's a bit of a yokel (apologies to all the fine yokels out there :) - it's too bad that the talent pool is so shallow that he's managed to float to the top.

The real problem Adolf is that Dipton Bill is as addicted to tax and spend politics as his Liarbour opponents/colleagues. The fact that people both in and outside the party are saying loud and clear how stupid he is, should send a message loud and clear.

The fact Dipton Bill is not listening, and hasn't for several terms, comes as no surprise. It really is time for him to go back to Dipton.

Lou: Props to you for manning up & being honest.

Wake: Your standards are pretty low if the best you can say about this lot is that "anything is better than the last lot".

Aside from fewer lesbians, you've ended up with, as my dad would say, three-fifths of five-eighths of bugger all.

Hate to say we told you so ...

WAKE UP said...

Sus, I've already referred to the shallowness of the talent pool (and I don't only mean National), but the fact remains that the Clark government had to go, as a first priority.

Cactus Kate said...

Are you on something Adolf? Seriously. Your comments and demeanour lately are just plain strange. Little wonder Fairfacts Media decided to eat, shoot and leave.

National has to stand for lower taxes not new ones. Else there is no difference between Cullen and English. None.

Whale has every right to criticise English for the good of the National Party.

New taxes and they will lose the election.

Whale doesn't want that. Do you?

Adolf Fiinkensein said...

Well Cactus, no he doesn't. He doesn't have any rights at all.

What he DOES have is some responsibility to deal with any issues he has in a civilized manner within the confines of his political 'family.'

It's all very well for a few semi demented fundamentalist right wingers to jump up and down egging him on but I can assure you the message I'm hearing from ordinary people who happen to read his blog and talk to me about it is that they are appalled. That's the message Whale. They are appalled.

Do you or anyone else on this thread seriously think that John Key or other cabinet ministers or the party president are in the slightest bit impressed by these outbursts?

Whale, do you seriously believe you alone have somehow saved the party from a gang of villains who exist in your imagination?

You have singlehandedly taken the party back to the days when the dirty washing was held out for everyone else to see. The difference this time though, is that there actually isn't any dirty washing. While the press gallery are writing columns praising the close working relationship between John Key and Bill English, one lonely blogger claims it's all a mirage.

Sorry. I just don't buy it.

Cactus Kate said...

Who cares if they do or not.

I sure as hell do not.

Whale, like any good blogger, blogs alone from the distraction of trying to impress people in power.

"Whale, do you seriously believe you alone have somehow saved the party from a gang of villains who exist in your imagination?

Ergh....so on one hand Whale isn't powerful enough to do something and then in the very next paragraph he is.

More people in the National Party seem to listen to Whale than you Adolf.

That is possibly the issue here.

A sad case of bloggers envy.

Leaders must be held accountable Adolf.

If they are surrounded by sycophants they get the idea they can do what they want, when they want and we end up with leadership we don't like, doing things we don't want them to do in ways we don't want them to do it.

Are you really advocating that we should all ooh and ah over the Emperors new clothes? The problem is the public - you remember them the voting public - will see right through it. Party apparatchicks can say how wonderful new taxes are as much as they want, The rest of us will see them for the cup of cold sick they are.
