Some Iron Clad Guarantees

Two sixteen year old males were walking along State Highway 1 at 11.30 p.m. when they were struck by a police car responding to a call out in violence prone Northland town, Moerewa. One of the lads was killed, the other seriously injured.

The map shows the section of highway and the remote valley in which Adolf spent his childhood and teenage years.

There will turn out to be a number of contributing factors. Here are some excerpts from the yet to be written CPA report.

1..... The boys were Maori.

2..... The boys were pissed or spaced out.

3..... The boys were walking on the wrong side of the road, on the bitumen carriage way.

4..... The boys were dressed from head to foot in black.

5..... The boys had their ears stuffed with walkman plugs with what passes for music operating at 120 decibels.

6..... The boys' parents did not know where they were.

The newspapers and the local marae will conclude it was all the fault of 'the fuckin' cops.'

Kevin, excuse Adolf's technical revisionism, he is slightly older than 21. As a local to the event I can confirm he is correct on all other points in this post.

TVNZ is on the job already, announcing the "driver may face charges."

http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/officer-may-face-charges-over-fatality-2872099

What the cops ACTUALLY said is that charges against the driver have not been ruled out - entirely different from the insunuation in the headline. Of course charges haven't been ruled out. If they had, then the same bottom feeding scum who write the crap which passes for news would be screaming that the cops are above the law.r

Yeah, I know the territory too...has anyone bothered to report what "incident" the police were proceeding to?

I see the cops are paying to send a 'Maori liason officer' to accompany the body on the trip back to the marae at Kaeo.

Well actually, it's you and me who is paying for this bullshit.

SORRY mate there are things called HEADLIGHTS, i know cops drive holdens (together) and there are strange things called EYES on each side of the snout but then they are one eyed, and running a black clothed maori down is a option not a target to achieve

Anonymong, it may surprise you to know that the party these two unfortunate young men were attending is still in progress. Me? Not so much.
I hope they send Paddy Whiu as the liaison, he is a good guy.

BB lets party on but wear safetygear and do not drink cheap shit NZ beer BB as you get testy with your posts, ps the cops wear the official gear not the crims but sometimes it causes problems cops rape/crims/rape its a worry how can you tell opps the cops buy the million dollar properties and that makes me think

The cop should face charges unless the guys jumped out in teir path at the last second. All drivers - including police - are supposed to be watching the road, and headlights show up even Men in Black (though maybe not aliens).

Think how you'ld feel if someone you knew (and liked) was run down by a (possibly blind) cop driver. Noone is above the law.
