Retreat, retreat

( The remnants of) Labour MPs yesterday descended on (fled to) the West Coast for regional "reconnection" visits and a caucus retreat.

Finally, the word retreat is used in it's correct context.

1. the forced withdrawal before an overwhelming force.

2. the act of withdrawing, retirement;

3 .an asylum, as for the insane.

Update: And it seems they can't even retreat without spending 50k of our money.

Yes I noted that on One news tonight about the $50K, thus Liarbour's effirts truly backfire.
Who the hell advises them on PR?
I thought Clare Curren might have warned them.

As noted at Barnsley bill earlier today, i was quite tickled by the background of the new Liarbour Party VP in place of Marion Hobbs.

She is an experienced child psychologiost with an interest and background in kin=dergartens!

Parading dead wood is unhelpful to Labour's cause. I note Dyson wasn't driving the bus.

"Flights, accommodation and entertainment for the MPs will cost the New Zealand tax payer around $50,000.

But Labour leader Phil Goff says the MPs have been as economical as possible."

Fuck me, with all the global warming*, you'd think they'd just meet on the lawn in front of parliament after work over a couple of days. Cnuts.
