And Iceland is creating 2500 jobs by buying 50 former Woolworths outlets.
So with all these extra jobs in the supermarket sector, it is apparant that rather than being a Nation of Shopkeepers as Napoleon once remarked, Britain will be a nation of supermarket shelfstackers!
A good thing that Tesco has announced a bachelor's degree in shelf stacking and retail management then!
Now I wonder how things are with New World and Foodtown.
But if recession is biting, shouldn't Pak'N'Save be doing best of all?
