I was hoping for more good news in the much rumoured TV3 TNS poll, that was reportedly due out today.
But instead, Tim Selwyn delivered the glad tidings, with the latest Tumeke! rankings. The top 20 is out today, the rest are due tomorrow.
No Minister has continued its good progress, rising one to number six, in place of Peter Cresswell's Not PC, who slipped one to 7.
We are just behind Whale Oil, who dropped one to 5, as Frogblog rose one to 4. The Standard remains at 3, Public Address at 2 and Kiwiblog at 1.
The big mover is the highest new entry, at 14, Policynet featuring Chris Trotter and Matthew Hooton. No word on Roar Prawn yet, but I would hope that wonderful blog gets a 20-something ranking. Certainly recent Alexia rankings are strong for this other newcomer.
Homepaddock is deservedly up 4 to 12, the entertaining Dim-Post is up 3 to 16, Radical Crossstitch and Jafapete are also big risers at 19 and 20.
Those slipping down the rankings slightly slightly include Poneke, Keeping Stock and Cactus Kate.
Thanks again to Tim for his hard work. I can only hope, as Zentiger suggested, someone can whip up some software to make the job easier or him.
And let us hope we can have another list a month from now.
How will the election campaign affect things? I would hope and expect that the recent revelations from Whale Oil, RoarPrawn, and The Hive will also boost their rankings in the weeks ahead.
