Chris Trotter comes up with a cracker of a column that has just gone online.
So strong, the mild ZenTiger over at NZConservative likens it to the hate speech the left supposedly abhor, except when indulging in it themselves.
Trotter-sky slams farmers, businesspeople, etc, etc, who make up a large portion of New Zealand society. The productive ones who subsidise the feckless that Trotter defends.
Thank God, Gaia, or some other entity that New Zealand remains 'a free country' as Trotter-sky mentions.
But with such narrow-minded bigotry from the left, an unwillingness to see other points of view, an abuse of those who have the cheek to disagree, I wonder if New Zealand would remain 'free' should Liarbour win a fourth or fifth term. We have seen how they have rorted electoral processes through pledgecard abuses and the Electoral Finance Act to screw things their way.
But back to the bitter abuse of the left. This week, NoRightTurn was most vicious about Margaret Thatcher and the plans in Britain to give her a state funeral, earning strong rebukes from Liberty Scott and Clint Heine.
Remember, how Dear Leader branded Don Brash as 'cancerous and corrosive', how West Coasters were 'feral inbreds' and Trevor Mallard branded Exclusive Bretheren members as 'chinless scarf wearers.'
The left, as shown by Trotter, are nothing but bigots filled with hatred of those who have the cheek to disagree with them. So much for liberals having open minds!

The column made me laugh out loud--at least Trotter is upfront about his views, unlike the slimy leftards who pretend to be full of tolerance and nuance etc but are totalitarian thugs under that veneer.

You know I have in the past quite liked Trotter
he has always seemed to me to be an even handed kind of lefty ,one you can read and at times feeling he is one of the few Lefty's that might have the ability to see the rights another point of view may be valid

I used to believe that such outbursts from the left were a sop to the party faithful to demonstrate their solidarity...Trotter's commentary and Cullen's "rich prick" outburst reflect a deep and very real bitterness.

And the student unions would have a 'no platform' policy preventing such people from saying their peace.
