Market Forces At Work?

Adolf spends a deal of time these days thundering along Auckland's motorways and the highways and byways of the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. That is, when he is not closely studying the number plate in front of him. The routine is to throw the cruise control on at about 108 kph, sit back and enjoy the drive. (A few years ago it was 118 kph but that got a bit pricy.)

I have noticed, and others too have remarked on it, that there seem to be far fewer speeding drivers now that the price of petrol has gone through the roof.

Where the coppers failed, the market worked.
