Kiwisaver cock-up reveals yet more Liarbour incompetence

Australians who visit New Zealand over the next four months may be eligible to join KiwiSaver and claim the Government's $1000 kick-start subsidy.
Anyone can join KiwiSaver if they are a New Zealand citizen - or are entitled to live in New Zealand indefinitely, as Australians are.
What more proof do we need of the incompetence of Liarbour and Michael Cullen when as this NZ Herald story notes it cannot draft up flagship legislation without it being riddled with such major loopholes that they have to be tightened up.
Financial planner Michael Littlewood said the loophole illustrated the mess made of the initial legislation because it was rushed.
It all makes the haste with which the government is rushing through the Electroal Finance Bill all the more reassuring, doesn't it?

When the Attorney General is a pommie who majored in History and the Justice Minister is a School Dental Nurse by trade what the f*** do expect the laws to come out like!

Relax, flash--I don't expect many Ockers will be coming here to live. ;-)

Well they are not able to come get the 1000 and leave are they.

They would have to be here paying tax and then hit 65 to be able to withdraw from Kiwisaver, unless they wnat to buy, and live in a house here.... nothing to see here.

Oh, for the good old days, when govts could be relied on to pass laws completely free of loopholes, we never hung the wrong guy, and doctors always made the correct diagnosis...

Jeesus psycho milt.Sounds just like my case. I got found guilty of murder because I owned a .22 and an old car axle. The bastards hanged me and the prison doctor said I was dead. Bugger me here I am today because of to many mistakes!

KG: you know you want too! Esp when we dump our gummint next year, and things start getting fixed.

Crikey, should I use the word "fix"? That's a word pwned by (UK) ZanuLabour party and now our own Dear (as in expensive) Labour party.

PM, the good old days have passed. That's why we need new solutions, not more money thrown at yesterdays solutions.
