Hell hath no fury as a journo questioned. First The Herald reports that John Key has backed Winston Peters' compromise therapeutics bill but then John Key says 'Hang on a minute mate, we've never seen his compromise bill, they didn't show it to us. I'm prepared to back something different and here's what it is. We told Labour ages ago what we would back. What are you on about?'
It wouldn't be the first time a journo has stretched something out a little.
The first comment on Young's blog is instructive. If you are going to take the moral high ground you need a reputation for probity and morality. Journalists do not score well in this regard.

Does anyone outside the Beltway actually CARE about this? I don't think so.
Good post - you have made some good calls on Key this year Adolf. He's a totally different beast than people are used to and it annoys the hell out of political 'pundits' that they can't pigeonhole him.
Of course the lickspittles who haven't posted on anything in like for ever have sudden;y burst into print. Fucking hypocrites, complete silence on the SLut-boy and now deafening squealing over a storm in a teacup, ditto with Blojo's like Audrey.....and where is their indignation over the Electoral Finance Bill?
Well well well. That first comment I directed you to? It appears to have been deleted!!!!!!!!
So much for the self righteous huffing and puffing.
Comments are back on line. About half telling the hackess to go take a panadol.
Compare the hysterical blogger with the ever reliable, measured commentary of John Armstrongwho pretty much gets it right. A very minor matter.

This issue is already yesterday's news and today's fish and chips wrapper.
Far from showing Key as 'dishonest', it shows up the shameless (and completely tasteless) self-promotion of bloggers who engage in tilting at windmills in a quest to become respected "pundits".
